Ok, enough being sappy <3 If you are like me, your muscles ache every now and then. I don't know if it's because I'm just getting older, if I work out too hard sometimes, or if I have slept wrong the night before. Either way, nobody likes sore muscles no matter what they are caused by. Yes, there are many muscle creams out there like Bengay, Icy Hot, etc. but those tend to have such a bad smell to them.
The next time you have a sore muscle, prep to take a very warm/hot shower (as much as you can bare). The heat from the water will help your muscles to relax and de-tense. However, before getting in the shower, take your favorite moisturizing lotion (I like using coconut oil because it's so great for your skin) and warm it up. You can do this by either putting it on a radiator, heat register, or the safest way, setting it in a bowl of hot water (standing up). Once you are finished with the shower and your muscles are all relaxed, take the warm lotion and massage it into the area where the muscles ache. The warmth of the lotion will also help to relax any stress your muscles are having :)
