Pretty Feet for Summer...

Hi beauties! Spring is here and Summer is around the corner. That means everyone is going to start rocking their favorite pair of flip flops and sandals, and feet are going to be exposed. The look is cute, but ONLY if your feet are too!

If you are one of the people who suffer from cracked heels or rough feet, I have a great trick you can try to bare those pretty feet:

What you'll need:
2 TBSP Baking Soda
Warm Water
Your Favorite Essential Oil (Lavender, Peppermint, Almond, etc).
Brown Sugar

Blend two tablespoons of baking soda in a basin of warm water and add a few drops of lavender oil. Soak your bare feet for about 15-30 minutes (the longer the better). After a nice long soak, scrub them away using three parts baking soda, one part water, and one part brown sugar. You can always buy a nice foot brush to scrub a little extra for you.

Follow with an application of a rich moisturizer and a warm towel foot wrap. Let sit for 5-10 minutes.

Trends for 2014 Spring Nail Polish...

Hello fellow beauties! My apologies for the hiatus! I wanted to get right on track with what's trending for Spring 2014, and that is nail polish. Who doesn't want bright, beautiful nails to show off? There are certain hot trends this Spring, and I wanted to share those with you so you can rock the look yourself:

1. Bold Fuchsia: This Spring's signature color is radiant orchid, so going with a bold fuchsia is a great way to wear a trendy accent color. A great pick would be Mischo in Marilyn...gorgeous!

Mischio in Marilyn, $18

2. Melon: When you think of melon, think of the color of a cantaloupe....a pale orange. This color is very trendy this Spring, and pairs well with gold jewelry! Try and pick up Nar's Wild Dancer :)
NARS in Wild Dancer, $19

3. Shimmery Nude: This color almost looks like a rose gold, but try and stay with a nude without a tint of color. Pairing a nude with a shimmer, the look becomes super-glamorous. A great polish for this is Butter London's Goss...amazing!

Butter London in Goss, $15

4. Earthy tones: Earthy yellow, orange and red shades complement every skin tone and add a cool twist to the season's crisp white pieces. These are some of my favorites especially darker earthy colors. Try Estee Lauder's Lust for a gorgeous deep red :)

Estee Lauder in Lust, $21

5. Blue: You can't go wrong with a shade of blue, and the best part is it doesn't matter what hue it is, any blue is great! Like denim, they go with everything and are appropriate for day or night, work or play. One of my current favorites is Essie's Hide and Go Chic <3

A Braided Side Bun...

Eek! My first hair tutorial and I am so excited. I typically wear braided styles on a daily basis; they are so easy to do and they look like you spent hours doing them. There are so many types of braids you can do these days:

  • Waterfall braid
  • Top knot braid
  • Fishtail braid
  • Four piece braid
  • Rope braid
  • French braid
  • Cornrow braid
  • Milkmaid braid
  • Inverted braid
  • Full Crown braid

The list is endless...!

This look I did it a simple side french braid that leads to a braided low bun. The best thing about these hairstyles is you can really make them your own. Do a top bun instead! Add a flower or headband! Leave it a pony tail instead of a braided bun! You can really get creative and still look stylish <3

Covergirl Bombshell Mascara...

Good morning all of my beauties <3 Thank you for stopping by :) I wanted to share with you today a review on a new mascara that is out on the market..The Covergirl Bombshell Mascara. Here is what Covergirl says about it first:
  • 10x more noticeable lashes vs. bare lashes
  • Extreme volume basecoat + Intensifying top coat
  • Take lashes way beyond big
  • A proprietary micro-thin formula that allows for multiple thick layers without the normal clumping of mascaras with waxes and clays
The wand is dual sided, one to give you a basecoat, and the other to intensify the darkness and thickness. Now I usually don't pick up Covergirl Mascara's, simply because they don't tend to do anything fantastic with my lashes. However this brush was unique, so I wanted to try it out and their new formulas.

After trying it out, I would give this a 3 1/2 start rating. The first negative is the packaging. The color is beautiful (a bright fushia), however the tube is huge and bulky, and would make it very difficult to travel around with something to clunky. I like both of the brushes, but I don't think it gives me any sort of "intense" volume like it claims. Sorry Covergirl :( I do, however enjoy the brushes on both ends, one's more of a rubbery wand which really helps seperate the lashes, and the other is a more natural bristle brush to give more volume.

A recent haul...

Happy day fellow bloggers! So I have figured out that one of my weaknesses include Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals....who would of thought?!

All of the good sales, deals, gift sets, etc. go up for grabs around this time of year, and I can't seem to keep my hands off them :) I wanted to share a little bit of the items I bought and give my opinion about what I have reviewed so far.

Limecrime lipsticks: This was my most exciting purchase, mainly because I have never tried any product from Limecrime, and from what I know you cannot purchase their products at a store, only online. They are also a bit pricey, so when Black Friday was offering 30% OFF, I jumped at the chance to pick up some! They go on very creamy and are extremely pigmented. They are also pretty long lasting from my first couple of tries with them <3

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes: Now because I am getting married in April, I have been trying to find makeup items that will last me most of the day. When it comes to blushes, I have heard nothing but great things about these Tarte blushes. What do you know? They DO stay on 12 hours! I have tried them to and from work, and I get home with still-rosy cheeks :)

Anastasia Brow Wiz: I picked this up because first, I love eyebrow pencils, and second because everyone and their mama raves about this product. Paying $21 for a brow pencil is a bit expensive considering I use it everyday. I do have to say it does give very good shape to the eyebrows, and it enables you to control how much color you put down. The negatives about it is it's a wind up pencil, and for some reason mine came broken into pieces. hence, when I wind it up too much, my broken piece falls out, sorta like a wind up mechanical pencil you would get from school. Bummer :(
